Naseby Multi-Sports Courts Completed Bang On Schedule!
Mel Hoyle thanks the Fosse Contracts Limited project manger Bruce Cox and "Andy the world's best sports-court installer" for the whole teams' superb hard work and outstanding expertise demonstrated throughout the last 6 weeks. During August we will be distributing information flyers to all local households/clubs regarding our new Naseby Multi-Sports Club membership, how to book the courts, and how to join-in with our sports try-out sessions. We will also be completing the final installation tweaks/bedding-in process. All this will be leading up to the Community Opening Event on the 5th September.

The Installation Work from Start to Finnish Background Information The Naseby Parish Council and the Village Hall Management Committee (VHMC) provide, maintain and improve recreational/social facilities for the villagers and the local neighbourhood. They are focused on increasing the usage and usefulness of the existing village hall, and grounds. Their current remit is to significantly extend the range and availability of sports facilities to all age groups and, thereby, encourage healthy outdoor leisure pursuits and activities. They also aim to help to reduce the environmental impacts of car usage and to increase inter-village social contacts via sports clubs and competition. Given the rural location they also aim to minimise any hardships or disadvantages caused to the young and disabled by the dire lack of local public transport to get to sports facilities. This project has been funded by Biffaward, a multi-million pound environment fund managed by the Royal Society of Wildlife Trusts (RSWT), which utilises landfill tax credits donated by Biffa Waste Services. The Royal Society of Wildlife Trusts (RSWT) is a registered charity, incorporated by Royal Charter to promote conservation and manage environmental funds. The RSWT Grants Unit manages several funds, administering more than £20 million a year in grants to support local, regional and national environmental projects, carried out by charities and not-for-profit organisations. In 1997 Biffa Waste Services agreed to donate landfill tax credits to RSWT to administer under the fund name Biffaward. Biffaward is the Unit’s major ongoing fund. Amongst the most respected of all the Landfill Communities Fund* schemes, Biffaward has to date distributed over £90 million to many environmental projects throughout the UK.
